On Monday’s Bold and the Beautiful, Katie’s entire world fell apart. She is devastated. As she went to approach her husband’s office door, she overheard a conversation that effectively changed her entire life. Everything as she knew it in the past is officially over. She and her husband are no longer the happy couple she always assumed that they were. She has more questions than answers, and she is devastated that she has to deal with this at this point in her life. After all, this is her husband, the man with whom she has a son. It’s also her sister, the woman she was so gracious to offer a job and attempted to work through her relationship with despite everything that has gone on in Brooke’s life and all that Brooke has done to hurt the people closest to her. What she heard on Monday crushed her. She overheard her sister tell her husband that he is the love of her life. She did not, however, overhear her sister tell her husband that they cannot have an affair and that he cannot continue to fantasize about her.
Katie does not hear Brooke tell Bill that as much as she loves him, she loves her sister more and that she simply cannot do this to her sister. She tells him that Katie can never find out that Bill is the love of her life, and it’s her way of telling him that things will never work out between them and that they have to stay apart from one another. In true soap opera fashion, however, Katie misses all the relevant parts of the conversation and hears only the most damning portion of her sister’s very noble and selfless speech. Miscommunication and a deep misunderstanding of the situation changes everything that one moment. Katie cries, and she stands outside the door in shock and horror.
Quinn is distraught on Monday. She has to have more time. She cannot go ahead with her plan if Liam doesn’t wake up and if she cannot figure out what to do next. She needs more time, presumably to keep Wyatt and Steffy together so that Steffy does not find out about Liam being sick and injured. She knows that if she takes him to the hospital, his family will find out, notify Steffy and she will ditch Wyatt in a second. Quinn needs more time. She’s been researching concussions and she’s not sure she actually has much more time, and she’s panicking.
Meanwhile, in the midst of her heartache and her broken engagement, Steffy is actually having the time of her life. She is in the middle of a great time with Wyatt, who is doing everything in his power to be there for her. they spent some time on the water doing some surfing, and Wyatt actually gives Steffy a gift. He tells her that she is all too much a wonderful woman and that she absolutely should not waste her time waiting around for someone like Liam who clearly does not love her or want to be with her. He makes it sound as if he is just looking out for her, all while planting the seeds she needs to make sure she is willing to spend more time with him and less time thinking about Liam and their broken engagement. After all, they are pretty much spending all their time together at this point.
By the time Monday’s show ends, we are left with more questions than we had before it began. What will Quinn do with Liam now that he is starting to wake up a little and has effectively freaked her out? What will Katie do now that she knows her husband is in love with another woman and that her sister is betraying her after all she’s done for her? Will anyone notice that Liam is missing, or will Quinn’s persistent texts to Steffy and Bill via Liam’s phone keep everyone off the scent of his missing persons issue for the time being? And will Steffy and Wyatt end up together?
