The History Channel hit television series American Pickers plans to film episodes throughout Ohio in August. This acclaimed documentary series explores the world of antique picking, following skilled pickers on their quest to uncover America’s most invaluable antiques.
Mission to Rescue Forgotten Relics
The show is known for its mission to recycle and rescue forgotten relics from coast to coast. Along the way, the Pickers hope to meet unique characters with amazing stories and interesting items. As Associate Producer Joshua Kerlin put it, We’re looking for leads throughout the state, specifically interesting characters with fascinating items!
Historical Significance at Heart
The creators of the show have expressed their desire to give historically significant objects a new lease on life while learning a thing or two about America’s past along the way. They’ve encountered a lot of rusty gold over the years and are always eager to discover something they’ve never seen before.
Picking Guidelines
The Pickers follow a specific set of guidelines when choosing locations for their adventures. They do not pick stores, flea markets, malls, auction businesses, museums, or anything open to the public.
