In the world that is Hollywood today, we have seen countless actors and other celebrities being named for sexual misconduct within the industry. It seems as though every single day, a new story or accusation surfacing destroying the name of yet another famous figure. One of those celebrities who we saw fall under the same fate as so many others was that of Ryan Seacrest, who was allegedly accused of sexually harassing a wardrobe stylist who had worked for him at one point almost 10 years ago. Since surfacing, the E! network had begun an investigation into the allegation, and has found that there was insufficient evidence to support the incident. With that news coming about, it is only right that we give you all of the details surrounding the new break in the scandal, and why this case of sexual misconduct has been different from so many others that we have seen and heard.
Upfront Cooperation
When the accusations first came out against Ryan Seacrest, who is now the co-host of “Live with Kelly and Ryan”, in November of 2017, the star came out with a statement, saying that if he had made any co-worker (in this case, the wardrobe stylist) feel disrespected in any way, that he was sorry. He also went on to dispute the allegations that were made against him, saying that he prides himself in the way he presents himself in the workplace, and the reputation that he has made for himself in those scenarios. He has also stated numerous times that he is a true advocate for women, and believes that they deserve the utmost respect in any form.
Bribery
According to sources, the accuser, who has decided to keep themselves anonymous throughout this entire ordeal, at one point had demanded Seacrest for a large sum of money in order to keep quiet from the press about the accusations. During that time, a rep from “Keeping Up With The Kardashians” of course, refused the offer regarding the lump sum. They also came forward at the time when the accusations were leaked to the public to rebuttal any of the claims that were made against Ryan Seacrest about that “incident”.
Insufficient Evidence
As we mentioned at the beginning of our article, the E! network, which Ryan Seacrest has worked closely with for several years, conducted an investigation using an outside source to look into these accusations that were made. As the investigation came to a close, it was found that there was just not enough evidence to support the claims that were being made against Seacrest by the supposed wardrobe stylist, and the case has since been dropped.
Although this is just another eye opener when it comes to the scandal and disrespect that is plaguing our society and our entertainment industry, we are glad to see that Ryan Seacrest was able to come upfront and make it known that this allegations were indeed false. There are so many stars and celebrities who are being caught in this inadequate and inappropriate behavior who are denying the accusations being made, and it honestly makes us sick to see so many of these people lying through their teeth. We can only hope that eventually, the idea of sexual misconduct in any form will be a true thing of the past.
