Luke Thompson remains guarded about the possibility of his character Benedict taking center stage in Bridgerton Season 4. During a recent episode of The View, where he appeared with co-star Golda Rosheuvel, host Sara Haines posed the pivotal question.
Benedict’s Future on the Show
Responding to Haines, Thompson humorously retorted: How dare you ask me such personal questions!
, while Rosheuvel added her touch by simply stating, I’m just gonna sip my tea.
The show follows a different Bridgerton sibling each season. Though Julia Quinn’s books suggest Benedict’s story for Season 3, the producers chose to spotlight Colin (Luke Newton) and Penelope Featherington (Nicola Coughlan) instead.
A Season for Every Sibling
Show creator Chris Van Dusen aims for eight seasons, ensuring each Bridgerton sibling gets a moment in the narrative spotlight. Speaking on The View, Thompson remarked, The honest answer is I don’t know, but I know that it’s so lovely that one of the best things about a TV job is you get to really explore a character long-form.
Hints and Teasers for Future Seasons
While details about Season 4 remain elusive, showrunner Jess Brownell hinted at some potential clues embedded within the conclusion of Season 3. According to Brownell on TV Insider, I won’t give you anything, but I do think that there are some clues at the end of Season 3 of where we’re headed.
The next chapter in the series promises more intricate storytelling and character development, leaving fans eagerly piecing together each hint dropped along the way.
