Nearly nine months after her public breakup with Summer House co-star Carl Radke, Lindsay Hubbard opened up about the financial and emotional impact of calling off their wedding.
Lindsay Discusses Financial Fallout
In Amanda Hirsch’s June 4th Not Skinny But Not Fat podcast episode, Hubbard revealed she had lost up to $30,000 in wedding deposits before the cancellation. She noted that Radke had to pay a considerable amount in last-minute cancellation fees. I lost $25,000 to $30,000 in wedding deposits before the cancellation. Now he had to pay a lot of cancellation fees, especially since he waited so long,
she explained. I told him I was absolutely not figuring out the fallout of the wedding. You cancelled this, put on your big boy pants and figure it out yourself.
Radke’s Apology and Financial Contribution
On September 11, 2023, Radke sent letters to their guests announcing the cancellation of their November nuptials in Mexico. He apologized for the inconvenience and promised to help cover costs associated with changing plans. In the reunion episode of Summer House, Radke stated, You have the apartment. I paid half the rent for nine months. I’ve been courteous. I’ve done everything I’ve been legally bound to do. I also paid over $125,000 for the wedding. I took care of the apartment and the wedding. You did not.
Behind-the-Scenes Drama
During the podcast, Hubbard mentioned that despite production for the season being wrapped up, Radke called producers to film their breakup on camera. I get it, we film a TV show, but I thought that our relationship was beyond TV,
she said.
The Wedding in Portugal
Lindsay Hubbard was also seen at her former Summer House co-star Jaclyn Shuman’s wedding in Portugal just days after the news of her split became public. She attended with over a dozen friends and was photographed smiling at what appeared to be the rehearsal dinner.
Looking Forward
Lindsay revealed she has not spoken to Radke since filming ended on Summer House. While recent rumors surfaced about her expecting a child with a new partner, she clarified that while they are in a good place, they’re not ready to start a family yet.
