Kathy Hilton Embraces Moderator Role in Return to RHOBH with Sister Kyle Richards

Kathy Hilton is keeping things balanced with Kyle Richards as the sisters film another season of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills together.

I’m on my Ps and Qs, she told Page Six’s Virtual Reali-Tea podcast while promoting her new Kathy Hilton x Anna Zuckerman jewelry collection at her Bel Air, Calif., mansion.

Hilton, 65, noted that she is only involving herself in any Richards-related drama when her younger sibling asks.

I said to her, ‘I’m happy to be in the middle and hear your side, hear [their side] and help out,’ she said of her decision to lean into a moderator role as a friend of the cast for Season 14. If she needs me, I will [step in].

The socialite — who returned to the beloved Bravo reality series after a season hiatus — said that she is also doing her best to be honest with Richards, 55, when sharing her feelings about any conflicts that may arise during production.

I don’t want to see anybody drive anybody off a cliff. That’s not cool.

After feuding on RHOBH Season 12, Hilton, and Richards made amends in the summer of 2023 at niece Whitney Davis’ wedding to Luke White. Notably, Hilton felt that Richards didn’t have her back amid a contentious onscreen battle with then-co-star Lisa Rinna — an era of drama they have put behind them.

After repairing their relationship, Richards announced her separation from now-estranged husband Mauricio Umansky last July. Hilton has been a pillar of support for the RHOBH OG throughout the emotional ups and downs of her split from the real estate mogul.

While she’s delighted to reunite with Richards on the show, Hilton mentioned enjoying spending time with Sutton Stracke and Garcelle Beauvais. The new season also introduces Bozoma Boz St. John.

She’s a boss girl … she’s a serious businesswoman, Hilton said of St. John. The former Netflix chief marketing officer picks up a diamond for the first time following the exits of Annemarie Wiley and Crystal Kung Minkoff.

The Paris in Love matriarch described how the reality TV rookie acclimated well, despite initial concerns about joining their shenanigans. Sharing a humorous moment they had, Hilton recalled St. John’s comment: I was just in the bathroom, looking for a window to try and escape!

The socialite also revealed that she and former nemesis Erika Jayne are in a very good place after resolving past misunderstandings.
