NBC has now secured its late-night hosts for several more years.
Jimmy Fallon has officially renewed his deal with NBCUniversal, keeping him as the host of The Tonight Show through 2028. Fallon’s renewal follows a similar move by Seth Meyers, who extended his contract with NBC for another four years to continue hosting Late Night. Both have recently crossed the decade mark on their shows.

Tumultuous Tenure
Fallon took over from Jay Leno as host of The Tonight Show in 2014 after five years at Late Night. His history with NBC stretches back further, having been a key player on Saturday Night Live (SNL) from 1998-2004, where he co-hosted “Weekend Update” alongside Tina Fey.
Last year, however, Fallon faced allegations of fostering a toxic work environment at The Tonight Show, as reported by Rolling Stone.
