Unveiling the New Robin Hood Tale
Sarnoski, acclaimed for Pig and the soon-to-release A Quiet Place: Day One, has revealed intriguing insights about The Death of Robin Hood. It’s set to begin filming in February 2025, with a potential target for the 2025-2026 awards season.
Sarnoski discussed the script development with Steve Weintraub from Collider. He shared, I wrote that script right before coming onto A Quiet Place. I kind of made a deal with myself where, if I was gonna do a big studio movie, I wanted to make sure I had my smaller passion project in the wings that I could be thinking about.
A Story of Passion and Persistence
This project, which Sarnoski dubs his smaller passion project, garnered personal significance over time. He admitted, Initially, when writing it, I wasn’t sure it was gonna be my next movie, but… it’s pretty obvious that it has to be that movie.
Sarnoski emphasized that The Death of Robin Hood would be a unique blend. When asked about the film’s nature, he said, It has a sort of different version of the epic Robin that we’re used to… So, it’ll have a little bit for everyone in that sense.
