A Davenport man has been sentenced to 13 years in federal prison for conspiracy to distribute cocaine and cocaine base.

According to public court documents and evidence presented at the sentencing hearing, Domonique Deshawn Parrow, 38, was identified by law enforcement as a distributor of cocaine and cocaine base, which he distributed directly from his residence for at least three years. During the search executed at Parrow’s residence, law enforcement found cocaine and cocaine base packaged for resale, a firearm, and money. In total, Parrow was responsible for the distribution of at least 3.2 kilograms of cocaine during the conspiracy.

No Parole in the Federal System

After completing his term of imprisonment, Parrow will be required to serve three years of supervised release. There is no parole in the federal system. Richard D. Westphal, U.S. Attorney of the Southern District of Iowa, noted that the goal is for federal prosecution to have a deterrent effect and stop the robberies, shootings, methamphetamine, and heroin dealing.
