Danielle Olivera is leaving ‘Summer House’ after an impressive journey of seven years on the Bravo reality series. In a heartfelt Instagram post on Tuesday, she revealed her difficult decision.
I wanted to share that I’ve come to the heartbreaking decision to not return as a full time cast member on the upcoming season of Summer House,
Olivera, 35, wrote. Emphasizing that this choice was not made lightly, she mentioned, Ultimately, I just need to trust my gut. If I can’t put 100% of myself into filming, genuinely and authentically, it really doesn’t feel right doing it in a full time capacity. The network, production, my cast, and especially all of you deserve that.
Focusing on Priorities
The New Jersey native indicated a need to protect and prioritize the things that matter most to her at this stage in life.Right now I need to protect and prioritize the things that matter most to me — my company, my people, and of course myself,
she added.
Olivera joined Summer House as a full-time cast member in Season 2 which premiered on January 22, 2018. Reflecting on her journey, she fondly recalled,I was fortunate enough to be able to take a step back season 4 as well, and it ended up working out better than I imagined.
Supporting Her Decision
Expressing gratitude towards NBCUniversal, Bravo, and Truly Original for their understanding and support of her choice, Danielle also hinted at potential involvement in upcoming seasons.I’m involved this summer; you can bet I’ll be rooting for another incredible season from my Summer House fam.
This announcement comes at a pivotal time for Danielle who recently experienced an AirSculpt transformation and split from Southern Hospitality star Joe Bradley after several months of dating.
The Show Goes On
Bravo confirmed on May 9 that Summer House will return for season 9, though the cast has not yet been confirmed. As the show moves forward, fans will undoubtedly miss Danielle’s presence but will respect her decision to step back and trust her gut.
