When Ashton Kutcher and Demi Moore married, it created a huge stir in the media, predominantly because of their age gap. A similar level of media frenzy was caused when the couple later divorced. Now, almost four years on from the divorce, Ashton Kutcher has finally opened up about his split from Moore. According to the actor, he was so deeply affected when their marriage came to an end that he decided he wanted to be alone and went into the woods at Big Sky in Montana. Taking just some tea, some water, and a notebook, this is where he spent the next week.
While he was there, he did not have access to his cell phone, his computer, or to any other mobile devices. He was completely alone, so there was nobody with whom he could hold a conversation. Kutcher also claims that he began to a hallucinate on the second day due to the lack of food. However, he did not see this as a negative thing as it gave him the peace and time to do tai chi using his own energy.
Kutcher also used the time to rid himself of all the grudges he had from previous relationships as he believed this would help to mend his broken heart. He took the time to write a letter to each and every woman he had ever dated and sent them out. He accepted the fact that he probably had done some damage to other people in his past relationships and was the letter-writing as an exercise in resolving this issue.
Moore and Kutcher were married in 2005. It was a surprise to many of their fans as she is 15 years his senior. While this was the first marriage for Kutcher, it was Moore’s third. She was first married to Freddy Moore between 1980 and 1985. Her second marriage was to Bruce Willis in 1987. The couple had three daughters together; Rumer, Scout, and Tallulah. Sadly, they divorced in 2000 but remained friends and Willis even attended the wedding of Moore and Kutcher.
Demi Moore and Ashton Kutcher separated in 2011 and their divorce was finalized in 2013. When their divorce was granted, they both gave separate statements to the media. Kutcher said that he cherished the time they spent together and described marriage as being difficult. Moore described herself as feeling saddened to bring their marriage to an end and move forward with her life. Despite feeling heartbroken at the time, Kutcher has also now moved on with his life. He tied the knot with actress Mila Kunis in 2015. Their daughter, Wyatt, had been born the previous year. She was followed by their son, Dimitri Portwood, in 2016.
Since his divorce, he has also had success in his acting career. He played Steve Jobs in the 2013 film ‘Jobs’ and played Waldon Schmidt in ‘Two and a Half Men’. Kutcher also made an appearance as a guest Shark on the reality series ‘Shark Tank’. He has been involved with projects outside of the film and television industries, including investing in an Italian restaurant and a Japanese-themed restaurant.
