Gerry Turner, star of ABC’s The Golden Bachelor, has received notable support from contestant Susan Noles amid the controversy surrounding his divorce from Theresa Nist.
During an appearance on SiriusXM’s The Jess Cagle Show, Noles voiced her thoughts on Turner’s decision to part ways with his wife of three months. I’ve gotta support this man a little bit. I feel like he got the wrong end of it,
said Noles. Theresa decided not to move and not to quit her job. He got frustrated. Who can blame him?
In her statement, she elaborated, mentioning how unrealistic it was for Theresa to expect to keep her current job without considering the couple’s living situation. Turner’s hometown is in Indiana, while Nist resides in New Jersey.
Noles wasn’t alone in her sentiments. Another contestant, Kathy Swarts, added, Gerry’s a nice guy. Theresa’s a lovely lady. You know, s— happens.
