See: The Storm-Recap

See Season 3 Episode 2 Recap and Ending, Explained

It’s fair to wonder how much scene can tip until it’s fully on edge and embroiled in the struggle that has been coming since season three of See premiered on Apple TV+. But it would appear that the wait won’t be too long since there are only eight episodes scheduled for this final season, and it’s a safe bet that there will be at least part of an episode, if not an entire episode, devoted to the fallout that will come when Tormada unleashes his hellish weapons on Paya and whoever else stands in his path. The current episode focuses on the attempt to keep more of the ancient weapons from being made while at the same time showing how Trivantes has become based largely upon revenge and domination in the name of the deceased Edo Voss, who was slain by his brother, the former Trivantes warrior, Baba Voss. So far, the developments within this season have been tense and more than a little frustrating, but in a way that makes the story move forward as it should.

SEE' Season 3 Review: A Satisfying Conclusion to Probably the Most Underrated Show | Midgard Times

Baba Voss has become a grandfather but is still every bit the warrior, as he’s proven.

There’s no denying that Baba was none too happy to hear that Sibeth had seduced Kofun into impregnating her, but it would appear that in this episode that Kofun has started to come out of his funk a bit, especially since Baba has been a doting grandfather that is proud of his grandson, and his son. One thing to note about Baba is that the title of grandfather appears to fit him quite well even if he has misgivings, as he’s already been seen speaking favorably to the child and making sure that Kofun knows that he is still a man and a father. At the same time, Baba is still a warrior, and this is made clear when he and those who follow him to liberate those being forced to make Tormada’s weapons are pressed. He might not be the younger man that sought to keep his people from being slaughtered by Tamacti Jun in the first season, but time hasn’t slowed him down any.

Kofun and Haniwa are still the children of Baba Voss and Queen Maghra, but they are becoming their own people.

For a while,e, it was easy to berate Kofun as a character since he allowed himself to be taken in by his aunt and didn’t appear to know how to stand up as a man and be his own person. But he’s come a long way at this time and is already showing that he has what it takes to stand with his father and allies as a warrior. Haniwa’s ability as a fighter was never in question since she’s been the more aggressive of the two for a while now, but her hatred of those who were seeking to condemn the sighted as witches might not have abated yet. At the moment, she appears to be choosing to follow her father rather than her own urges to strike at the witch hunters, but it remains to be seen just how she’ll react when left to her own devices.

Sibeth has become the annoyingly lucky villain that never appears to receive her comeuppance.

It’s tough to deny that Sibeth has a will that’s as strong as iron, if not stronger, but it could be that desperation is a little stronger than an iron will at times since she’s more akin to a rat that will do anything it needs to survive. But then again, that could be chalked up to a level of willpower that is kind of impressive. Escaping her room was one thing, but smearing horse dung all over herself to elude the search dogs was nearly cringe-worthy since it might have made some people actually gag to think about. Add onto that the fact that she wandered alone in the wilderness and survived an encounter with a rattlesnake, and it might actually appear that she’s blessed by blind luck or some higher power. One can easily guess what she would say, especially since she’s not the type to admit that she has any sort of fault and that the world is simply out to get her. Those that are wishing to see her get what she deserves will no doubt be just as frustrated if that moment never comes.

The battle is coming, and it’s getting closer with each episode.

Tormada’s betrayal, and the fact that his fellow council members joined in on it, will no doubt be a turning point in the events to come. But with Baba Voss and his companions stealing away with the bomb-makers, it’s very easy to assume that Tormada will reign unholy fire on those that he finds in his path. The battle is coming, but within the next few episodes, it will be seen who’s able to weather the firestorm that’s about to rip the nations apart.

It takes a while to get into, but See is worth watching.
