Mavar was transported to Camai Medical Center where life-saving measures were attempted. Unfortunately, Mr. Mavar was later pronounced deceased
, and the next of kin have been notified.
The Bristol Bay Borough Police noted an investigation is underway, as they wait to speak to witnesses present at the scene.

Mavar debuted on “Deadliest Catch” in 2005, appearing as a deckhand on the F/V Northwestern. Over 16 years, he appeared in 98 episodes, becoming known as Captain Sig Hansen’s right-hand man.
