I’m just going to say it: fans of The Traitors are a passionate breed. After a stellar second season with host Alan Cumming, they have been guessing who will be part of Season 3. Following Season 2 full of reality stars, viewers eagerly await a cast announcement. So far, no luck but plenty of rumors.
Rumors and Speculations
Former Real Housewives of New York City star Dorinda Medley was rumored to be joining the cast. This hint was dropped by none other than Phaedra Parks, one of the most intriguing players from the previous season. Phaedra has been described as devilishly entertaining as a traitor. After all, she has been rumored to “make it nice
” next season!
Another whisper suggested that former The Real Housewives of Potomac alum Monique Samuels was putting together her best plaid outfits for Scotland. But were the rumors reliable?
Monique Addresses The Rumors
The Peach Report on X (formerly Twitter) posted Monique’s response to the gossip on Instagram, quelling the fans’ speculations. The post read, Monique Samuels shuts down recent claims that she’s joining The Traitors Season 3.
“Neither a traitor or a faithful. Sorry to disappoint but the rumors ARE NOT TRUE,” Monique wrote in her Instagram post. “WTF?! I love y’all though! And I do love that show! Catch me weekdays where I actually am daily 6am-10am @goodmorningshowonwpgc,” she added.
When asked if she’d join if she were asked, Monique admitted, “I actually considered it but later declined.”
Troubled Relationship with Reality TV
Given her contentious relationship with Bravo, Monique’s decision isn’t shocking. Her departure from the Real Housewives franchise echoes those troubles.
I’ll never forget her cracking open that infamous binder full of receipts during the The Real Housewives of Potomac‘s Season 5 reunion. Monique’s significant moment exposed several controversies, including allegations against Gizelle Bryant.
No Desire for Ultimate Girls Trip
Moreover, Monique claimed she was offered a role on The Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip. However, she declined due to her firm stance against what she describes as network toxicity.
“It just wasn’t what I wanted to do,” Monique said. “I didn’t feel like I could be the same Monique that people were accustomed to seeing anymore when it came to that particular franchise and that particular network because there was so much toxicity there.”
The Waiting Game for Season 3
