Disney’s Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes has already begun to make waves in the entertainment world. Aiming for $50 million to $55 million from 3,700 theaters in its domestic debut, the film is expected to perform comparably to previous installments in the franchise. The last two films, War for the Planet of the Apes and Rise of the Planet of the Apes, opened with $56.2 million and $54.8 million, respectively.
Internationally, this installment is on track to collect between $80 million and $90 million, potentially bringing its global box office revenue to between $130 million and $140 million by Sunday. Early projections indicate a robust start, suggesting that Primates will rule (the box office) again!

The film’s foundation ties back to significant players such as producers Joe Hartwick Jr. (The Maze Runner), Jaffa and Silver, along with Jason Reed (Mulan) which lend their expertise to bring this epic continuation to life.
