Two more Frasier alums are excitedly making a comeback: Dan Butler and Edward Hibbert. Butler, who portrayed the sports host Bob “Bulldog” Briscoe, will return in Season 2 on Paramount+, alongside Hibbert’s Gil Chesterton.
Throughout the original run of Frasier, Butler’s character Bulldog left a significant mark on fans. His other notable works include Hey Arnold! and recent guest appearances on shows like The Blacklist, Elementary, and Blue Bloods. Similarly, Edward Hibbert’s involvement in various other series ensures he’s no stranger to the small screen.

The Ensemble Cast of the Reboot
Frasier is currently mid-way through production on Season 2 at Paramount Studios in Los Angeles. Alongside Kelsey Grammer’s titular role, the cast features Jack Cutmore-Scott as Freddy, Frasier’s son. Nicholas Lyndhurst plays Alan, Frasier’s college buddy turned professor; Toks Olagundoye portrays Olivia, head of the university’s psychology department; Jess Salgueiro appears as Eve, a neighbor; and Anders Keith takes on the role of David, Frasier’s nephew.
Original Cast Members Return
In addition to Butler and Hibbert, Peri Gilpin returns to reprise her role as Roz Doyle. She is back this season after making an appearance in the revival’s Season 1 finale.
A Sneak Peek into Season 2
Amy Sedaris will guest star as Dr. “Doc” Stathos, a municipal therapist who interacts with firefighters at Freddy’s firehouse and is a fan of Frasier Crane. Patricia Heaton will portray Holly, while Yvette Nicole Brown takes on Monica’s role – a character described as part haughty professor, part Nancy Drew. Monica never misses an opportunity to remind her sister Olivia of her accomplishments.
The Up-and-Comers
Kelsey Grammer’s daughter Greer is set to play Alice, Roz’s daughter. Alice is now in her late twenties and has inherited some of her mother’s free-spirited ways. Having moved to Providence for architecture studies, she complicates Freddy’s romantic interests.
A Glimpse Behind the Camera
James Burrows directs two episodes in Season 2. The Frasier revival is produced by Chris Harris and Joe Cristalli, along with Kelsey Grammer, Tom Russo, and Jordan McMahon. The production comes from CBS Studios in association with Grammer’s Grammnet NH Productions.
