Just as Lovely Runner is about to come to an end, K-Drama fans have found a new favorite to keep their attention glued to the screen. While The Atypical Family initially caught the audience’s curiosity, it seems the drama is heading towards a less than stellar conclusion. The ratings for Jang Ki-yong and Chun Woo-hee’s The Atypical Family, streaming on Netflix, saw a steep drop of 3.5 percent and now faces challenges to remain in the top 10 non-English shows globally.
The newest K-Drama sensation, Connection, has successfully claimed the top spot with an average rating of 6.1 percent.

Connection is airing on SBS. For those wishing to watch the show online, it is available on Viki, a subscription-based platform.

The series features a stellar cast including Ji-sung as Jang Jae-kyung, Jeon Mi-do as Oh Yun-jin, Kwon Yool as Park Tae-jin, Kim Kyung-nam as Won Jong-soo, Jung Soon-won as Heo Joo-song, and Jung Yoo-min as Choi Ji-yeon.
The King: Eternal Monarch
‘s Ji-sung stars as a top detective with a mysterious past who teams up with his reporter friend and former high-school classmate Jin-Yun to investigate the death of their mutual friend. The storyline intricately weaves their personal stakes into the investigation.
No Replacement For Queen of Tears Yet
The void left by Queen of Tears remains unfilled despite many attempts. The controversial scenes in The Midnight Romance in Hagwon seem to have affected its ratings which now stand at 4.2 percent after its fifth episode.
Meanwhile, as Lovely Runner nears its finale – and serves as a likely replacement for fans of Queen of Tears – it is actually Beauty and Mr. Romantic, available on Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, and Viki that remains among the most-watched shows with 15.26 percent viewership.
