Katherine, married to billionaire Cabot Asplundh, made headlines after sending aggressive messages to Kate, the current owner of the @katherineasplundh handle. Hi just wondering if I could purchase your username from you. Just got married and this is my new name.
When Kate declined, Katherine responded with increasingly hostile messages.
Katherine wrote: I actually don’t believe that your name is Katherine Asplundh who would make their finsta their actual name? I reported you to Instagram and they’re actually able to tell me your real name I really hope I don’t know you because that’s gonna be really embarrassing for you.
Backlash and Account Deletion
The backlash was swift and severe. She soon deleted her Instagram account amid intense criticism and mockery. Screenshots of the conversation were widely shared on Reddit and discussed online.

Katherine has recently returned to Instagram and TikTok, sharing several posts from her brother-in-law’s wedding held at the Hotel Du Village in New Hope, Pennsylvania. She posted that it was a special day celebrating @carl48 and @savanna_smith5
alongside a picture of the newlyweds, while she posed in a multi-colored dress around a grassy yard.
