The Real Housewives of New Jersey is shaking up season 14.
For the first time in the history of the East Coast-based reality series, there will not be a traditional reunion. According to an insider, A reunion is meant to have resolution and it’s clear in the season final that there is no path forward in that type of setting
. The network is therefore exploring different concepts to wrap up the season.
Season 14 sees unprecedented discord
This season has been heavily marked by longstanding rifts only deepening further among costars Teresa Giudice, Melissa Gorga, Dolores Catania, Margaret Josephs, Jennifer Aydin, Danielle Cabral, Rachel Fuda, Jackie Goldschneider, and Jenn Fessler. This ongoing discord was so severe it even resulted in split panels at BravoCon over the past two years.
Unresolved feuds at the center
The largest conflict rests between sisters-in-law Teresa Giudice and Melissa Gorga. All season long, they reportedly did not interact until the explosive finale. We don’t even, like, look at each other
, Melissa had addressed their feud directly.
Rachel Fuda’s issues with Teresa and Luis
Rachel also has her own issues with Teresa and Luis Ruelas stemming from previous seasons. Rachel’s husband John Fuda alleged that the couple had investigated them through their friend Bo Dietel and contacted John’s ex-wife in prison.
Margaret Josephs speaks out
Margaret Josephs also addressed Luis Ruelas during the pre-reunion meeting. She pointed out that he had leaned on her son, via a phone call, at his workplace
. These allegations were significant enough for Margaret to express her desire to distance herself from both Teresa and Luis.
Season finale teasers raise tensions
Teasers of this season’s finale show John Fuda confronting Teresa with bold accusations. In a sit-down that ends dramatically, he calls her the poster child for mortgage fraud
and quips, When I need my money laundered, I’ll call ya!
.
Jennifer Aydin and Danielle Cabral clash
The tension didn’t stop with Teresa; Jennifer Aydin and Danielle Cabral’s conflict escalated to physical levels. They were suspended from filming for several days after an altercation that culminated with a glass pitcher being thrown during another heated exchange.
A bubbling social media scandal
The drama extended beyond TV too. A social media scandal erupted where a troll account named MelissasOldNose claimed Teresa and Jennifer asked them to dig up dirt on cast members like Melissa Gorga and Rachel Fuda. The account shared screenshots of alleged messages showing screeners to episodes before they aired.
No official decisions yet but lots of drama remains
This internal fracture echoing through every episode might provide context as to why this unconventional decision was made for this season’s conclusion. An insider noted that Everything and anything is on the table… all options are being discussed
, suggesting future possibilities remain wide open for the series.
The Real Housewives of New Jersey airs Sundays at 8 p.m. ET on Bravo. Previous seasons can be streamed on Peacock.
