Will Smith is back
on the red carpet for the premiere of Bad Boys: Ride or Die, reprising his role as Mike Lowrey in this fourth installment of the franchise. On May 30, Smith, 55, attended the event with his wife Jada Pinkett Smith, their children Trey, 31, Jaden, 25, and Willow, 23, along with mother-in-law Adrienne Banfield-Norris.
Arriving at TCL Chinese Theatre atop a double-decker bus with costar Martin Lawrence and directors Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah, Smith grabbed a microphone and performed a snippet of his hit song Miami
after stepping off the bus.
The actor wore an all-black outfit from head to toe, consisting of wide-leg trousers, a scoop-neck T-shirt and a black satin suit jacket adorned with faint floral prints. He accessorized with patent leather loafers, a chunky black-and-cream necklace, brown glasses and a black beanie hat.
The Oscar winner’s wife, Jada Pinkett Smith, appeared stunning in a geometric-patterned gown that featured strategic black lines. The translucent design offered peek-a-boo effects in all expected areas while she accessorized her look with black open-toed heels and diamond stud earrings.
At the Los Angeles premiere, which marks the first acting role for Smith since the infamous Oscars slap incident, guests including cast members Tiffany Haddish, Eric Dane, Vanessa Hudgens among others showed up in style.
Touted as an edge-of-the-seat action flick rife with outrageous comedy, Ride or Die introduces some twists including detectives Mike Lowrey and Marcus Burnett being on the run after Captain Conrad Howard is framed in a corruption case.
The family affair continued with Lawrence bringing along his daughters Jasmine Page (28), Iyanna Faith (23) and Amara Trinity (21). The trio joined their father on the red carpet, adding warmth to the film’s high-octane aura.
