This necessity to balance his roles wasn’t the only factor. Renner shared that when he learned about his character’s fate in the script for Fallout, he wasn’t pleased. He recalled, I remember they tried to bring me over[seas] for a week so they could kill my character, and I was like, ‘No, you don’t get to do that. You’re not going to drag me over there and just kill my character.’
His adamant stance shows his deep connection with William Brandt and that he wanted more justice for the character’s arc.
A Balancing Act with Mayor of Kingstown
The actor’s dedication to the series Mayor of Kingstown, where he plays Mike McLusky, further complicated matters. In this show, his portrayal has been pivotal as the storylines deepen with each season:
“In season three, a series of explosions rock Kingstown and its citizens, as a new face of the Russian mob sets up shop in the city, and a drug war rages inside and outside prison walls.
