The Survivor Sia Prize Has Finally Ended

The first Sia Award went to fan-favorite Tai Trang of Survivor: Kaoh Rong (Season 32). He raised a chicken on the island, Mark, who became the only chicken to make it to the Final Tribal Council.

The unique era of the Sia Prize in Survivor history has officially concluded. Host Jeff Probst revealed this on his Instagram Story, stating that after eight years, 14 seasons, and 19 players, the tradition where Sia gifted monetary prizes to her favorite contestants is now over. The Chandelier singer has been known for bringing joy to many players with her heartfelt generosity.

From Tai Trang to Carolyn Wiger

Sia’s contributions began in 2016 with fan-favorite Tai Trang, awarding him $50,000 for his compassion towards a chicken on the show. Since then, she has given away a total of nearly $450,000, impacting the lives of numerous contestants. Specific examples include Jesse Lopez, who received $100,000 and felt acknowledged for his “epic, sneaky, wonderful game,” and Carolyn Wiger, who also benefited from Sia’s generosity.

A Generous Legacy

Jeff Probst emphasized the tremendous joy Sia brought to players. He recalled vividly the moment Sia took the stage during a live finale: I still vividly remember the day Sia stood up in the audience during the live finale … and made her way onstage. This marked the beginning of what is now affectionately known asThe Sia Prize. Despite its end, Sia’s impact will resonate through her donations that supported players emotionally and financially.

How It All Started

Sia announced that she would be giving winner Yam Yam Arocho a $1 million prize. For Carolyn Wiger, who was also a winner this year, Sia surprised her with a $100,000 prize to Carolyn and her son as they made the season enjoyable.
