Maci Bookout is expressing her approval for her ex, Ryan Edwards’, new girlfriend, Amanda Conner. The Teen Mom star highlighted the positive changes Amanda has brought into Ryan’s life. She is fantastic. She’s just really supportive of Ryan and his relationship with [our son] Bentley and his co-parenting relationship with me
, says Maci.
Ryan, aged 36, met Amanda during a 28-day rehab stint in 2023, shortly after his high-profile split from Mackenzie Edwards. By February, Amanda shared on social media that they had moved in together. The couple reportedly spent quality time with Maci and her husband Taylor McKinney during the Easter holidays.
Since I’ve met [Amanda] it’s just been really easy and natural
, Maci admits. The transition seems almost seamless, contributing positively to all interconnected relationships. The most important thing is she’s just really supportive of all the relationships and things that go on with Ryan. It definitely helps for him to be in a relationship where that is happening
, she adds.
Maci also touches on her evolving relationship with Ryan. On this season [of Teen Mom: The Next Chapter], you’ll see probably something we’ve never seen before on the show between Ryan and I
, teases Maci. Despite their rocky past since Bentley’s birth in 2008, both seem to be on better terms now.
The dynamic between Bentley, age 15, and his father is also spotlighted this season. Viewers will get to witness the real essence of Ryan as he navigates his relationship with his son. Especially as we get later into the season, you get to see Ryan and who he is as a human

Ryan is also co-parenting two children—Jagger and Stella—with Mackenzie Edwards. Their turbulent relationship saw divorce filings from both sides in February 2023, though Mackenzie’s initial filing was dismissed due to inactivity.
