In a recent incident, Gwen Hunt from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, was arrested in Clarington, Ohio, after allegedly informing deputies that she had purchased cocaine at the Back Home Festival in New Martinsville, West Virginia. This arrest was part of a traffic stop conducted by the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office on State Route 7.
Traffic Stop Details
During the traffic stop, conducted for a violation, deputies identified the driver as Gwen Hunt. After gaining consent to search the vehicle, they discovered two glass containers holding a white powder believed to be cocaine, a small piece of parchment paper, and a grey pill.
Admission of Drug Purchase
Hunt reportedly admitted to officers that she bought the white substance, which she advised was cocaine, at the Back Home Festival
She also indicated that the parchment paper contained acid and the grey pill was molly (MDMA).
The Back Home Festival took place on June 23 and June 24, 2023, featuring performances from multiple bands including 49 Winchester and Pink Talking Fish.

Following her admission, Hunt was transported to the Monroe County Jail. She now faces charges of Possession of Drug Abuse Instruments and Possession of Drugs x3, reflecting the seriousness of drug possession laws in Ohio.
