Ahead of its season one finale, NBC is banking on another season of Deal or No Deal Island. The spinoff of the long-running game show has been renewed for season two.
The series, which is hosted by Joe Manganiello, launched at the end of February with its first season wrapping up on May 13. Now, a new crop of players will compete in the competition with production on season two set to start this summer.
Competing for Cash on a Tropical Island
The format sees 13 players transported to the elusive Banker’s private island to compete for cash. Each episode involves challenging tasks as they secure the iconic briefcases hidden across the island, each potentially containing part of the $200 million prize money.
Viewership Numbers Soar
NBC said that the series is averaging 5.8 million total viewers across all platforms, more than doubling its live audience. Notably, Deal or No Deal Island reached a total of 30 million viewers across linear and digital platforms. The show has also become the most-watched NBC unscripted premiere on Peacock.
