This event not only commemorates fallen firefighters but also serves as a tribute to their enduring legacy.
The Cleveland Firefighters Memorial Ride is an event where veterans and current service members come together to honor those who have made the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty. This year held special significance with tributes to Cleveland Firefighters Kevin Appling and Tonya Johnson, who passed away earlier this year.

The 20th annual ride saw notable guests like Melissa Mack from FOX 8, Maureen Kyle and Sara Shookman from WKYC, Will Ujek from Cleveland Police, Larry Gray from Westlake Police, and Cleveland Mayor Kevin Kelley attending, underscoring the event’s importance within the community. As Monica Robins echoed the sentiments of many in attendance, she highlighted the strengthening bonds between various sectors dedicated to public safety.

Bob Hostutler, road captain for one of the sponsors, Western Reserve Harley Davidson, led about fifty area bikes to Cleveland. Joined by his family, Hostutler emphasized the importance of acknowledging and supporting firefighters’ families.
