NCIS fans, get ready for an exciting treat set to hit Paramount+. Michael Weatherly and Cote de Pablo, known for their roles as Tony DiNozzo and Ziva David, are reuniting for a new spinoff series aptly titled NCIS: Tony & Ziva.
A New Setting in Europe
This time, the duo will be on the run in Europe, bringing a fresh take to the familiar NCIS format. As de Pablo shared, It makes it really easy because the fans will know exactly what the show is. It’s about Tony and Ziva in Europe.
The New Direction
The show is making waves by introducing new elements that differentiate it from its predecessors. As Michael Weatherly mentioned, [Series writer and showrunner] John [McNamara] is not from the NCIS universe… those things that might a few years ago have been to our detriment became assets when people started really understanding streaming.
Co-Stars Hoping to Join
Although the show is still in development, there has been a lot of buzz among other actors from the NCIS franchise. During a press event, Brian Dietzen, who plays Dr. Jimmy Palmer, expressed his enthusiasm to join the cast if given the opportunity. He noted, If they say: ‘Hey we need Jimmy Palmer on a plasma screen’ at any point, I’d say hell yes, that’d be fun.
Wilmer Valderrama’s Hopes for Involvement
Additionally, Wilmer Valderrama, who plays Nicholas Torres, didn’t hold back his excitement, saying he’d love to see his character embedded somewhere in Europe.

Differentiating itself from typical procedural shows, this series will have an ongoing storyline rather than a case-of-the-week format. This shift aims to keep audiences engaged with a more serialized narrative structure.
