The latest indie horror film from IFC Films, Oddity, has just unveiled a chilling new trailer. Directed by Damian McCarthy, the film will have a staggered release, hitting select US theaters on July 19th, 2024, and later streaming on Shudder. A Haunting Thriller
Carolyn Bracken stars as both Dani and Darcy, two pivotal roles in this spine-tingling narrative. The story kicks off when When Dani is brutally murdered at the remote country house that she & her husband Ted are renovating, everyone suspects a patient from the local mental health institution, where Ted is a doctor.
In an interesting twist, Darcy, a blind medium, employs her supernatural abilities to unearth the truth behind her sister’s death. Throughout this tense thriller, she is aided by none other than a terrifying wooden mannequin.

The cast of Oddity features notable performances from actors like Gwilym Lee (Bohemian Rhapsody), Tadhg Murphy (The Northman), Steve Wall (Dune: Part Two), and Caroline Menton (Altar Boys). Each brings to life their unique character in this unsettling narrative.

The film had its world premiere at SXSW 2024 as part of the Midnighter section. During its showcase, it captured audiences’ imaginations and even managed to snag the Midnighter Audience Award.
