While the Below Deck franchise deck crews are true professionals, mistakes can always be made. And mistakes seem a little scarier when you’re in the middle of the Mediterranean sea.
Nathan and Guest Stranded While Paddle Boarding
In the upcoming episode of Below Deck Mediterranean (Season 9, Episode 3), set to air Monday, June 17, deckhand Nathan Gallagher takes a guest out on a paddle boarding excursion … and they stay in the water for longer than anticipated.
Sh-t, where the hell are these two?
asks deckhand Joe Bradley after charter guests start wondering about their friend Laura. This is really embarrassing. Oh my God, what are we going to do? This can’t be happening.
Trying to Return to the Yacht

Nathan points out. A visual confirms that the yacht is 300 meters away. We’re trying to row back to the yacht, but we’re actually going backwards because the current is so strong,
explains the yachtie in a confessional. So, yeah, we’re stuck at sea. I’m sh-tting myself.
The First Charter Problems
The first charter presented numerous issues including cabin leaks, laundry mix-ups, and most critically, a lack of provisions. Reporting delays only made things worse. The pressure was immense from early on.
The first charter, that honestly was probably the most stressed I have ever been in my whole yachting career,
Aesha Scott remarked. She added, I felt upset because it was totally outside of my control … I just felt so unfair.
A Captain’s Reaction to Problems Onboard
The provision issues got so bad that Captain Sandy had to send crew members Nathan Gallagher and Joe Bradley to another super-yacht to buy rosé during the June 10 episode. They managed to secure five bottles for their final charter day but this did not solve all the issues.
