Before stepping into a new role in the upcoming The Office spinoff, Domhnall Gleeson reached out to Steve Carell for some sage advice.
Appearing on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, Carell, who famously portrayed Michael Scott in the NBC workplace comedy, revealed that Gleeson had sought his counsel before taking up the role. The conversation continued with Carell sharing that Gleeson approached him with questions about the decision to join the new series. According to Carell, Gleeson asked, Should I do this? Did you enjoy it?
To which Carell responded affirmatively, adding, He’s great.
The Office Spinoff Sparks Interest
Fallon also broached the subject of The Office, asking Carell if he was aware of a spinoff being in the works. With a hint of humor, Carell mischievously responded, Yeah, and I don’t know if you know this — it’s gonna be all the original cast. I’m in it!
Fallon’s quick reaction was to urge viewers not to get their hopes up too high.

A New Journey with Familiar Faces
Recently, Peacock has announced a new series set in The Office universe. This untitled sitcom, co-created by Greg Daniels and Michael Koman, stars Domhnall Gleeson and The White Lotus Season 2 star Sabrina Impacciatore. Production is set to commence this July.
The storyline will focus on a documentary crew searching for a new subject after immortalizing Dunder Mifflin’s Scranton branch. They discover a struggling historic Midwestern newspaper and its publisher’s attempts to revive it using volunteer reporters.
Sabrina Impacciatore has gained international recognition recently thanks to her role in the second season of The White Lotus. Previously, she was seen in Mel Gibson’sThe Passion of the Christ. Her varied experience brings much excitement to this new project.
