Arya Stark has 3 New Names on her Kill List, Says Maisie Williams

If you’re a Game of Thrones fan, then you already know all about Arya Stark’s kill list. Let’s do a little backstory, just in case you’re not familiar. George R.R. Martin’s best-selling fictional book series ”A Song of Ice and Fire,” was brought to the screen by HBO, the show being named after the first book of the series, Game of Thrones. Martin’s extensive storytelling skills immerse you in the medieval fantasy epic, depicting powerful families, queens and kings, renegades and knights, honest men and liars, all playing the deadly game, all wanting control of Westeros and the Seven Kingdoms, all wanting to sit atop the Iron Throne.

Arya Stark is Eddard ‘Ned’ Stark’s second daughter and third child. She was only nine years old when she accompanied her father and sister to King’s Landing. Her father was to be Hand to the King. Unfortunately, the King died shortly after Stark arrived. After some research, Stark realized that the children that the King and Queen had did not belong to the King after all, but to the Queen’s twin brother instead. Stark makes the mistake of threatening the Queen with his evidence before revealing it to all King’s Landing. Since the King is already dead, Stark has no one to protect him. He tries to get his daughters out before they end up in the middle, but Sansa, Arya’s sister, is fooled by the Queen and her son Joffrey who is now King. Sansa is engaged to Joffrey and she doesn’t want to leave. The Queen ‘captures’ Sansa, Joffrey proves what kind of person he really is, and Arya escapes.

From the time of her father’s death, Arya starts keeping a kill list, which is a list of those she wants to kill or see dead. They are all deserving of death, having killed someone, or just as bad, during Arya’s short life. Every night, Arya recites her list, vowing to eventually see everyone on the list dead. Of course, some on the list end up dead before she can get to them, but there’s always another to take their place it seems. Some of the list may even surprise you!

Maisie Williams, who portrays Arya Stark in the HBO hit series, was a guest on The Graham Norton Show this past Friday, January 12. During the interview, Norton asks Williams about what he says is an odd, but somewhat common request that she gets from fans. Arya Stark’s hit list is legendary and it seems that fans what to hear Williams recite it, with one additional request: they want their own names recited as well! Norton then asks her if she remembers the names, to which she replies, ”Of course!”

She then looks into the camera, reciting the remaining names on her kill list, but now it seems that three names have been added! Staring into the camera, she says,”Tom Hanks”, who is also a guest on the show, jumps when she says his name. ”Anthony Joshua”, another guest, who is a British professional boxer, and ”Graham Norton”, the host have all been added to Arya’s list. For real, if Tom Hanks is on Arya’s list, there’s no hope for the rest of us.
