The Boston Celtics celebrated their 18th championship with a grand duck boat parade through the streets of Boston.
Walking Through Causeway
During the chaos of the celebration, Celtics owner Wyc Grousbeck, his wife Emilia Fazzalari, and their daughter found themselves navigating through traffic and barricades.
He was attempting to drive to the arena with the Larry O’Brien Trophy and newly made 2024 championship banner along with his wife, Emilia Fazzalari, and their daughter. They couldn’t get through because of traffic and barricades. So they walked a half-mile down Causeway Street, passing by a sea of fans while carrying the trophy and banner.
Fans on the Streets as Wyc Walks
Despite the challenging navigation, Grousbeck’s decision to walk added to the excitement among fans who got an up-close look at the trophy. The scene was vibrant on Causeway Street as passionate Celtics fans lined up to catch a glimpse of the Larry O’Brien Trophy.
A Momentous Occasion
The lively celebration lasted approximately 90 minutes as it weaved through various streets in the city. This iconic moment will forever be remembered in Boston sports history.
