Trevor St. John, renowned for his role as Tucker McCall since September 28, 2022, stunned fans by announcing his departure from The Young and the Restless. Taking to X (formerly Twitter) on June 18, he shared the surprising news that left many followers in disbelief.
Dear #YR @YandR_CBS @YRInsider #YoungandRestless fans: As you well know, Tuckers come and Tuckers go, and so the cycle continues… this Tucker is in his go phase…
wrote St. John. He went on to express his gratitude towards the show’s community: I thank each and every member of the wonderful cast, the crew, the directors, the producers and production staff, and CBS/Sony for the great experience from day one to the last. I feel so fortunate to have played such a terrific role.
Acknowledging His Support System
St. John didn’t forget to acknowledge the tremendous support from his co-stars and fans. He tweeted: But while his character may be ‘gone’ for now, St. John assured fans ‘he’s not going anywhere’ as he has other projects planned and encouraged his followers to watch his 2024 drama, A Good Enough Day, which he also directed.
A Memorable Role
Reflecting on his unexpected casting call, St. John once told Digest: I was both surprised and flattered… Actually, surprised is not a strong enough word. I was more shocked.
During his tenure on Y&R, he had high praise for co-star Eileen Davidson, noting: She’s super talented… very generous actor and person, just lovely to work with.
A New Chapter with A Good Enough Day
Even as Tucker McCall exits, Trevor St. John is far from slowing down. Fans can catch him in A Good Enough Day, a gripping film where he directs and stars as photographer Tyler Hamilton. This film delves into Hamilton’s journey of reconnecting with estranged relationships amidst personal crises.
