However, this new character is not the fan-favorite Plo Koon, but rather a new Jedi named Ithia Paan.
A Bold Choice With Ithia Paan
The introduction of Ithia Paan allows The Acolyte to tie itself to the prequel era while avoiding over-reliance on established characters. According to information provided in the episode, Ithia leads a group including Yord and Jecki to stop Mae, emphasizing the uniqueness of seeing such a large group of Jedi team up in live-action.

Ki-Adi Mundi’s Unexpected Role
Though Plo Koon may not join The Acolyte, another familiar face has made an exciting comeback. Ki-Adi Mundi, known for his distinctive pointy head and earlier portrayal in the prequels, pops up in this episode much younger than seen before.
This move helps create a unique balance. Bringing Ki-Adi Mundi back brings nostalgic elements without overshadowing new character arcs or making galaxies feel too interconnected.

Choosing not to fall back on familiar characters like Plo Koon grants The Acolyte more creative freedom.
