Sikora Teases New Beginnings

With Power Book II: Ghost recently entering its fourth and final season, only Power Book III: Raising Kanan will continue at Starz, having been renewed for a fifth season in March. A new prequel series titled Origins also joins the lineup after the announcement that Force‘s showrunner, Gary Lennon, extended his deal with Lionsgate Television.

When Gary Lennon and the other writers and I were mapping out our third season, we saw that we were telling a complete story, and that this was the perfect opportunity to stay true to our artistic vision and make this the final chapter in Tommy’s journey in Chicago, Sikora shared in a video posted across Starz and his Instagram pages.

A Visionary’s Perspective

Courtney Kemp, the creative mind behind the Power franchise, has always wanted to broaden its horizons. She said, We are patterning it after Marvel, where different characters come in and out of other people’s shows… We’re trying to really do it for the fans, to give the most of what they want.

Lennon echoed similar sentiments, stating, It is bittersweet to write the fulfilling ending of this chapter in Tommy’s journey… Although this may be the end of the road for ‘Force,’ there is much more expansive, compelling storytelling for the characters within the Power Universe.

The Larger Picture

Sikora assured fans that this isn’t truly goodbye for his character. But don’t worry. Tommy’s journey is far from over with. We’re just getting warmed up, and I can’t wait to show you what we have planned next, he said while walking through the show’s set.

Curtis 50 Cent Jackson, a pivotal force behind ‘Power’, once remarked, I always said, ‘Why can’t we have multiple spin-offs? Same way as Star Wars and Marvel? We should have multiple stories happening at once.’
