Hostel is heading to the small screen! Celebrated actor Paul Giamatti
is gearing up to star in a TV series adaptation of Eli Roth‘s notoriously gruesome Hostel.
A Modern Adaptation from Familiar Faces
The project sees Eli Roth, alongside producers Chris Briggs and Mike Fleiss, returning for what they’re calling an ‘elevated thriller’ and a ‘reinvention’ of their infamous horror franchise. The show, now in development with Fifth Season, aims to bring a fresh take nearly two decades after the original film’s release.
The iconic first installment revolved around three backpackers whose fateful trip to Slovakia took a nightmarish turn. Though details about Giamatti’s role are currently under wraps, his involvement undoubtedly adds a dash of prestige to the production.
