Nolan Sprengeler of Plymouth, MN, caught this whopping 16.25-inch black crappie in April. The man was on a mission though and broke his own record again in May with a 17.5-inch black crappie. The May crappie was certified at 3 lbs, 8.9 oz.

Nolan Sprengeler’s Back-to-Back Triumphs

Nolan beat his previous state record, one set in April, in May by more than an inch! The April record was a 16.25-inch black crappie, and last month he found another monster, shattering his previous record when he caught a 17.5-inch black crappie, weighing in at more than 3 and a half pounds!
