The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department has intensified its efforts against illegal fireworks just before the Fourth of July, performing more than ten busts this past week. As the holiday approaches, further operations are anticipated.

It’s important to note that three years ago, the LAPD’s explosives team accidentally triggered a massive explosion while disposing of such fireworks, injuring seventeen people and damaging numerous homes.
