Vanderpump Rules alum Kristen Doute isn’t concerned about rekindling her friendship with Lala Kent. During the Thursday, June 6, episode of the Viall Files podcast, Kristen was candid about what led to their falling out and mentioned there’s little hope for reconciliation.
Details of the Falling Out
Kristen rehashed how Lala’s lack of support during a live podcast taping caused tension. Golnesa “GG” Gharachedaghi threw shade at Lala’s co-parenting relationship with ex Randall Emmett, and Kristen was caught in the middle.
We got into a fight. She stopped speaking to me. I found out per Brittany [Cartwright] that Lala says I am dead to her because of this. I tried reaching out to her and never spoke to her,
Kristen recalled.
Mishap at Public Event
The conflict escalated after footage from the November 2023 event showed Kristen visibly uncomfortable, wondering why she was seated next to GG. The timing was particularly harsh as Kristen revealed that same month she had suffered a miscarriage while expecting her first baby with boyfriend Luke Broderick.
Tense Communication
Pained by the incident, Kristen tried reasoning with Lala through messages but received a cold response. I screenshot the messages and send them to Lala and her text back to me was essentially she doesn’t give a s***,
said Kristen.
Kristen’s Stand
Lala cited her second pregnancy as one reason she didn’t want to revisit the drama. Lala shares a 3-year-old daughter, Ocean, with Randall and is currently pregnant with baby No. 2. Kristen felt this reasoning was unfair since she herself was experiencing a difficult pregnancy when Lala cut ties.
Some people are meant to be friends for a season or a reason or a lifetime and I think you and I are friends for a season,
wrote Kristen in a message to Lala.
A History of Conditional Friendships
Lala has paused several friendships since joining Vanderpump Rules. Recently, she called out Katie Maloney and Ariana Madix at the season 11 reunion, surprising viewers when she revealed trouble with Brittany too due to confusion over shared babysitters.
