The BBC has given a first look at Jenna Coleman (Doctor Who, The Cry, The Serpent) in the highly anticipated new crime drama The Jetty, created by writer Cat Jones and producers Firebird Pictures, set to premiere on BBC One and BBC iPlayer this July.

Coleman stars as rookie detective Ember Manning, leading an impressive cast alongside actors like Archie Renaux (The Greatest Beer Run), Laura Marcus (Bad Education), Amelia Bullmore (Happy Valley), Ruby Stokes (Lockwood & Co.), and Tom Glynn-Carney (SAS Rogue Heroes). Manning faces the challenge of connecting three seemingly unrelated events: a devastating arson, a haunting missing persons cold case, and an illicit love triangle involving a man and two underage girls. Getting closer to the truth not only threatens her career but also her personal life.
The drama is set in a spooky lakeside town in Lancashire, where a fire tears through a holiday home. As Ember investigates, she must untangle how this incident relates to the seemingly disconnected events—a task that puts her own life in jeopardy.
