In a tragic incident on I-75 in Ocala, a crash involving two motorcycles and a tractor-trailer resulted in one fatality. The accident occurred on the northbound lanes near exit 341 around 9:50 a.m., causing part of the interstate to be closed for hours.
Troopers with the Florida Highway Patrol are investigating the details of the accident. According to their report, 55-year-old Bruno Dicosimo from Torino, Italy, lost control of his motorcycle as traffic slowed down. This caused his motorcycle to lay down and led to Francesco Vitagliano losing control while attempting to avoid the crash. Both men were separated from their motorcycles, sending them into the center lane where they were struck by a semi driven by 66-year-old Rudolph Henriques.

The FHP continues to investigate the accident as part of the northbound lanes remained closed for several hours. No further information has been released at this time.
Victims Identified
