Celebrities Who Believe In or Have Seen Bigfoot

Last week Rob Lowe claimed to have seen Bigfoot while filming a docuseries and says that he feared for his life during the encounter. While it may seem bizarre that an otherwise sane person is making these claims, he is far from the first celebrity to do so.  In fact, we decided to do a little research and here are five more celebrities who have claimed encounters with Bigfoot or openly confess to believing in the existence of this creature.

Megan Fox

It has almost become a joke amongst journalists that Megan Fox has a tendency to bring Bigfoot, also known as Sasquatch, into her answers at interviews whenever possible. She has even claimed that Bigfoot is her favorite celebrity. She has researched the facts and even claims she could find the creature herself. However, she has yet to embark on a Bigfoot hunt.

Les Stroud

Les Stroud is a celebrity who believes he has been in close proximity to Bigfoot. Although he didn’t see Bigfoot himself, he heard strange noises in the trees and rustling. In an interview, he said that it was nothing like the sound of a bear or a moose but it was definitely a large creature. From this, he can only assume that he has had an encounter with Bigfoot.

Dean Cain

This actor is most famous for his role in ‘Superman’ but he has since hosted a show called ’10 Million Dollar Bigfoot Bounty’ for Spike TV. In the show, he led expeditions in search of Bigfoot. At the start of the series, he was hugely skeptical about the existence of this creature. However, he witnessed many things that he considers as evidence that Bigfoot does exist.

Bobcat Goldthwaite

Bobcat is another celebrity who has taken part in a search for Bigfoot. He went on this hunt with Matt Moneymaker, the president of the Bigfoot Field Research Organization. The pair were also joined by Ranae Holland, Cliff Barackman and James ‘Bobo’ Fay. In search of the mythical creature, the scoured the mountains of Sussex County in New Jersey, an area where previous sightings of and encounters with Bigfoot have taken place. Although the group did not see the creature, they concluded, based on their evidence, that Bigfoot definitely exists.

Anna Marie Goddard

Anna Marie Goddard is a Dutch model and actress. Her encounter with Bigfoot came about entirely by accident as she certainly wasn’t involved in a hunt. The encounter is now one of the most famous sightings of Sasquatch of all time and has gone down in cryptozoology history. While filming a pilot documentary featuring Goddard in the redwoods of California, recordings were accidentally taken of Bigfoot in the background. This event took place in 1995 and Goddard was unaware of the presence of Bigfoot until the shots were watched by the production team later.

These are just some of the strange beliefs and encounters experienced by celebrities. There are potentially many more celebrities who have experiences with Bigfoot who are afraid to tell their stories publicly for fear of disbelief and mocking from their fans.
