A $21,000 reward is now being offered for information leading to an arrest and conviction in the tragic homicide case of Kenneth “Kim” Daves, who was found deceased at the family-owned K&M Grocery Store in Black Hawk on July 29, 2015. This unsolved murder has haunted Carroll County for nearly nine years.
Despite numerous leads over the years, investigators still seek that critical piece of evidence needed to bring the perpetrator to justice. As Sheriff Clint Walker emphasized during a recent Board of Supervisors meeting, Somebody either has first-hand knowledge, or they have good information about it. Any information is appreciated. Court weighs in on higher reward
At the meeting held on July 2, 2024, Sheriff Walker requested an increase in the reward amount to revitalize investigative efforts.
The board approved an additional $10,000 to be added to the $11,000 already pledged by Daves’ family. This makes the total reward amount $21,000.
