Ahead of Sunday’s season premiere, HBO has confirmed the renewal of House of the Dragon for a third season. This news isn’t surprising considering George R.R. Martin teased last December that he was already collaborating with the writing team on future seasons. 
Based on Martin’s Fire & Blood and set 200 years before the events of Game of Thrones, House of the Dragon delves into the intricate story of House Targaryen.
